Water Plays A Vital Role In Human Body

Water is one of the most important resources on earth. All plants and animals need water to survive.
If there was no water there would be no life on earth. People, animal and plant life cannot exist without water.
We need to drink water to survive and add constantly fresh water to our body in order to keep it properly hydrated. It is difficult for the body to get water from any other source than water itself. Body hydration is not at a specific time of day, morning or evening, it must be constant. Depending on the physical effort or break taken from the last consumption of water, after a night in which there were not consumed liquids, hydration is a natural need.
Since water is so important, you might wonder if you’re drinking enough. Be sure to drink some extra water when you’re out in warm weather, especially while playing sports, exercising or work outdoors.
If you’re going to sports practice, or just working outdoors, drink water before, during, and after. Don’t forget your water bottle. You can help your body by drinking when you’re thirsty and drinking extra water when you exercise or work outdoors and when it’s warm out. Dehydration can occur at any time of the year, not only during the summer months when it is hot. The dryness that occurs during winter can dehydrate the body, even quicker than when it is hot. When you are dehydrated you tend to eat more.
Some beverages such as coffee and tea are diuretics, which are stealing precious water from the body; the alcohol and soft drinks act the same way.

Water plays a vital role in nearly every bodily function. You lose water through sweating, urinating, breathing and waste materials elimination.

Lack of water in the body slows enzyme activity in the organism, which causes daytime fatigue, fuzzy short-term memory, and tiredness.

Most people can tolerate a three to four percent decrease in total body water without difficulty or adverse health effects. A five to eight percent decrease can cause fatigue and dizziness. Loss of over ten percent of total body water can cause physical and mental deterioration, accompanied by severe thirst. A decrease of more than fifteen to twenty-five percent of the body water is invariably fatal. We can go without water 3 days only, without food instead for weeks.

It is important, the water which we drink and use for other purposes to be clean water. This means that the water must be free of germs and chemicals and be clear. Water that is safe for drinking is called potable water.

Water is essential for proper circulation in the body. The levels of oxygen in the bloodstream are greater when the body is well hydrated. The more oxygen the body has readily available the more fat it will burn for energy without the presence of oxygen the body cannot utilize stored fat for energy efficiently. Not only will the body burn more fat when well hydrated, but because there are increased oxygen levels you will also have more energy.

Water is essential for proper digestion, nutrient absorption and chemical reactions. The carbohydrates and proteins that our bodies are used as food are metabolized and transported by water in the bloodstream. Water also helps remove toxins from the body, in particular from the digestive tract and suppresses the appetite naturally. Studies have shown that a decrease in water intake will cause fat deposits to increase, while an increase in water intake can actually reduce fat deposits helping the body metabolize stored fat.

Water regulates the body’s cooling system. Most experts agree that water works better than carbohydrates or sugared beverages for moderate effort. Sport drinks are useful when consumed after or during vigorous and prolonged exercise in high heat, but water is a better option.

Consistent lack to drink enough water can lead to Chronic Cellular Dehydration. This condition where the body’s cells are never quite hydrated enough leave them in a weakened state, vulnerable to attack from disease. It weakens the body’s overall immune system and leads to chemical increases, nutritional and pH imbalances that can cause a host of diseases.

Everybody is different; therefore each human being needs to drink half of its body weight in ounces of water every day, to provide the body with the minimum water replacement requirements. Triple the intake for better results.
