Remedy for Insomnia and Headache – Sage Wine


The Wine made from Sage, contains a substance which has nearly the same effect as the estrogen hormone; therefore, it is recommended for women, to increase fertility.

Other benefits of this natural treatment are: combats insomnia, headache and strengthens the nervous system. This wine has anti-inflammatory effect, and it is also recommended as a treatment for bronchitis.

Ingredients: 100 grams of sage and one liter of white wine. For a stronger flavor, you can add a teaspoon of thyme.

Preparation: place the sage plant, dried and crushed, in a jar and pour the wine over. Cover the jar with a lid and place it in a dark place for 20 days. Then, strain the wine through a cheesecloth and pour it into a clean dark glass bottle. Store the wine in the refrigerator for up to six months.

Usage: Drink this wine one hour before the bedtime. Take the wine as a treatment in small quantities approximately 20-30 milliliters per day, after the main meals.
Take this home remedy for two weeks, and then for two to three times a year. Just days after starting the treatment, you will feel full of energy and vitality.


Remedy Against Tiredness

Weary and exhausted people usually drink a coffee or a cup of black tea to resist until the end of the day, but actually become more nervous and tense. A treatment for tiredness and weakness that help to avoid the side effects of coffee or black tea is drinking herbal tea, which has no side effects, refreshes and strengthens you.

Ingredients: 60 g dried basil leaves, 20 g of green tea leaves, and 20 g of rosemary leaves. Mix the herbs until they you notice that the herbs are evenly matched.

* Pour boiling water over one teaspoon of mixing herbs.
* Allow to infuse and cover the cup for 10 minutes; then strain the tea.
* Drink a cup of tea in the morning and one in the afternoon sweetened with honey, if possible.


Remedy for Headache – Tincture with Basil Thyme

When thoughts do not leave people in peace, they may say “I’m depressed” when actually it means “I’m fed up because I failed an exam, or I lost my job”. These ups and downs of life are common and normal.

Most people can recover fairly quickly, although it seems that nerves are ready to give up; the body often uses methods to react in physical terms: some people have headaches, some complain of abdominal pain or palpitations.

Basil Thyme calms the state of nervosity, and is very effective for digestive problems and headaches caused by nervousness problems.

Ingredients (for about 1 liter): Basil-thyme leaves 20 grams,  Angelica root 5 grams, cloves 3 grams, coriander seeds 3 grams, orange peel 10 grams, cinnamon 3 g, freshly grated nutmeg 3 grams, lemon peel 15 grams, 1 liter alcohol 50 °-60 ° (it must be concentrated for the optimum extraction of essential oils).


* Grind finely the following ingredients in a blender or use a mortar: Angelica, the cloves, Coriander, Cinnamon, Orange peel, and Lemon peel. Put the chopped ingredients and the other ingredients of the recipe in a large jar, and pour alcohol over.

* Allow to soak for 14 days at the room temperature, and then filter the liquid through a sieve, and pour the tincture in a dark glass bottle.

During periods of stress, drink 20 to 30 drops of tincture in a little water, 3 times per day, and use this tincture as a cleansing-detox treatment for 4 to 6 weeks. If you have a headache, the external use of this tincture is beneficial because, it is enough to apply the tincture by massaging the forehead and temples, or by applying as a compress on the forehead for 10 minutes to relieve the pain.

* Keep the tincture up to one year in a cool, dark place.
